Where you are

Somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling like teammates.

The conversations that used to be easy started feeling dangerous. One of you shut down. The other pushed harder. And now you're not sure how you got here — or if there's a way back.

You don't have to have it figured out to walk in the door.

A different way to see it

You don't need to fix each other.

Think of it like a home remodel. Maybe you've been at it for a while — some things worked, some didn't, and the project is still unfinished. Or maybe you know something needs to change but you don't even know where to begin.

Either way, having someone who's done this before changes what's possible. You get further, with less damage along the way.

What happens in session

We slow things down.

Most couples come in focused on the symptoms — the argument from last week, the silence that's been building for months. But symptoms come and go. What we're after is what's underneath.

In session, we work on how you're feeling before we work on what you're saying. Emotions first. Then thoughts. Then patterns.

Most conflict isn't really about the dishes, the distance, or who said what. It's about connection.

What makes this different

I practice Spirit-filled counseling.

Not faith-informed. Not biblical counseling. Spirit-filled.

Here's what that actually means in the room: we ask the Holy Spirit together. Not just me. You can hear from God too — most couples just haven't been taught.

What we do in session isn't mysterious or expert-only. It's seeking God in the middle of what's hard, and trusting Him to show us what's actually going on.

Because what you're arguing about may not be the real issue. When we seek the Father together, He has a way of revealing what's underneath.

In the process, God fixes things.

Common questions

Before you reach out

Is there still hope for us?

Since I began practicing in 2012, I've learned that this question usually carries three more underneath it: Have we drifted too far? Do I still matter? And are we willing to do the work? Most couples who feel lost are closer than they think. People who have truly given up don't go looking for help.

Will the counselor take sides or blame one of us?

No. My approach is collaborative and pattern-focused. We're not here to identify who's wrong — we're here to understand what's happening between you and how to change it. I'm not the referee. I'm on your team.

Do we have to be Christian to come here?

No. Spirit-filled counseling means faith is part of how I work — but it's not a condition. God sends who He sends. If you're curious, skeptical, wrestling, or simply open — you're welcome here.

What if my spouse doesn't really want to be here?

That's more common than you might think. Most reluctant spouses aren't resistant to fixing the relationship — they're resistant to being blamed for it. Once that fear is off the table, something usually shifts.

What happens in the first session?

We start with a free 15-minute conversation — no commitment, no pressure. If you move forward, the first full session is about understanding the pattern, not fixing it. Most people leave feeling a little lighter — because someone finally heard the whole story.
